Bio
Chris Rourke is a bass player and educator based in Melbourne, Australia. With a career spanning more than 15 years, Chris has established himself as a versatile and accomplished musician, performing across Australia and internationally.
Chris has toured extensively, including two tours in China with an Australian orchestra featuring Broadway singers from the United States. In 2019, he performed and toured with blues band Rhythm X Revival, who were recognised as Australian Blues Performers of the Year and reached the finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
His versatility as a musician has seen him collaborate and perform with a diverse range of artists, including UK artist Z-Star and ARIA Award-winning artist Max Sharam. Chris is also a member of Riding Northbound, with the band recently releasing their latest album following the release of five singles during the Melbourne lockdowns.
Chris currently performs with blues-rock ensemble The Heavy Kicks and regularly tours with acclaimed Australian singer Karise Eden. He has also toured with The Australian Bee Gees Show, performing as part of their live touring band when required.
Alongside his performing career, Chris is passionate about music education and works as a bass guitar educator, helping to develop the next generation of musicians.
